1. Your agreement with Hoyoo
These terms govern your use of the Hoyoo Android app, hoyoo.cc and associated services provided by STARSEQ LIMITED, at Workshop 251 on 3rd Floor, Join-In Hang Sing Centre, Nos. 2–16 Kwai Fung Crescent, Kwai Chung, Hong Kong. By accessing or using Hoyoo, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines and Child Safety Standards explain related requirements. Mandatory rights under applicable consumer and privacy law remain unaffected.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18, be legally able to enter this agreement and comply with the laws applicable to you. You may not use Hoyoo if you are prohibited from doing so by law or an applicable restriction, or if we have removed your access for serious violations. People convicted of offences involving child sexual exploitation or abuse are prohibited from using the service.
Give accurate age and account information. Keep your credentials secure and do not impersonate another person, sell accounts or allow an ineligible person to use your account. You are responsible for activity you authorise and should promptly report suspected misuse.
Parental permission does not permit an under-18 person to use or purchase through Hoyoo. Suspected purchases by a child should be reported for review under applicable law and store refund procedures.
3. Understanding the experience
Hoyoo offers social discovery, profiles, likes, matches, communication and optional paid digital features. Features and availability may differ by version, region, permissions and purchase status. We may maintain, modify or discontinue features, subject to applicable notice and consumer rights.
Some interactions may involve hosts or professional community participants who may receive compensation. A profile, like, match, message or purchase is not a promise of romantic interest, a relationship or an offline meeting. Do not assume a profile’s age, identity, location, availability or intentions have been independently verified solely because a label or status appears in the app.
You decide how to interact. Take precautions when communicating, sharing information or meeting someone. We do not guarantee any particular match, response or personal outcome.
4. Your conduct and content
Use Hoyoo respectfully and lawfully. You must not post or engage in child exploitation, sexual content involving minors, sexual solicitation, non-consensual intimate content, harassment, threats, hate, impersonation, scams, spam, trafficking or other illegal activity.
Do not bypass access controls or paid entitlements, scrape user data, probe another person’s account, reverse engineer the service except where law permits, interfere with security, or use unauthorised automation.
You retain your rights in content you provide. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display and process that content to operate, secure and improve the service and deliver the features you request. This licence is limited by your settings, these terms and applicable law; it does not transfer ownership to us.
You must have the rights and permissions needed for your content. Our Community Guidelines provide further rules and reporting information.
5. Purchases, subscriptions and digital items
Hoyoo may offer subscriptions, coins, gifts, likes, media-viewing credits or other digital benefits. The app and Google Play checkout show the item, price, currency, billing period and any conditions that apply. Review them before confirming. An offer or introductory period may have eligibility restrictions and a different renewal price.
Subscriptions: an auto-renewing subscription continues and charges according to the terms shown at checkout unless cancelled through Google Play. Manage or cancel it in Google Play subscriptions. Cancellation generally stops future renewal; the purchased period is governed by the store and offer terms.
Digital items: benefits are usable only as described in Hoyoo, may be consumed when used, and are not a bank balance, cash deposit or investment. They cannot be exchanged outside the service or transferred except where we expressly provide for it or law requires. Separate host or creator agreements may govern eligible compensation.
Refunds and errors: store purchases are subject to Google Play’s billing and refund procedures and applicable law. These terms do not exclude statutory refunds or remedies. Contact support with the order reference if benefits are missing, incorrect or disputed. Never send full card details or a password.
Deleting the app or your Hoyoo account does not by itself cancel an active Play subscription. Cancel renewal separately if you no longer want it. You may still request account and personal-data deletion while asking support to resolve a transaction or subscription question.
6. Safety, moderation and reporting
Report an account or content using the app’s reporting tools or service@hoyoo.cc. We may review reported content and relevant activity, restrict features, remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, and cooperate with competent authorities where appropriate. We prohibit child sexual abuse material and act on it as described in our Child Safety Standards.
We may act urgently to protect users, prevent fraud or meet legal duties. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain a restriction and provide a support route for review. A report does not guarantee a particular moderation outcome.
7. Leaving Hoyoo
You can request account deletion through the app or our web deletion page. The Account Deletion Policy explains ownership verification, digital benefits, subscriptions and data handling.
We may restrict or end access for violations, security concerns, legal requirements or discontinuation of the service. Applicable purchased-service rights and lawful refund claims remain in place. Provisions that by their nature should survive, including necessary purchase records, intellectual-property protections, dispute handling and lawful data retention, continue as appropriate.
8. Our materials and external services
The Hoyoo name, designs, software and other materials are owned by us or our licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with these terms; you receive no broader ownership right.
Android, Google sign-in and Google Play are provided by their respective operators under their own terms. External links do not make those providers part of Hoyoo or mean we endorse everything they publish.
9. Responsibility and disputes
We aim to provide a reliable service, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or verify every user statement. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis and we are not responsible for independent conduct of other users or matters outside our reasonable control.
Nothing here excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections. You remain responsible for losses caused by your unlawful use, infringement or deliberate violation of these terms to the extent established under applicable law.
Please first contact service@hoyoo.cc so we can try to resolve a concern. These terms are governed by Hong Kong law, except where mandatory rules in your place of residence apply. Any dispute may be brought before a court with lawful jurisdiction; no term removes a consumer’s mandatory right to use their local court or remedies.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will provide notice appropriate to the significance of a change and as required by law. The current version and update date are published here. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the service and contact us about your account and any applicable purchased-service rights.
